Due to the recent international interest to this blog I've decided to write at least some posts in Queens English.
Yesterday we had a football game. The school teachers and their friends formed the Guate 11 meanwhile the students formed the "rest of the world" selection. As I stayed on the sidelines I'm still here today to tell the story.
The international selection had som real problems. At first we scored an early openar, going 1-0 up. That's when the Italian guy decided to go ultradefensive.
The two germans were great. Running and running. Always in the same straight lines up and down the pitch, but still!
The real debacle arose when the arbitrary arbitrator decided to send off our two american guys. They kept picking the ball up with their hands to score "touchdowns".
Well. That's not really what happened. Actually the Guate-team won 8-7 in a close and tough game. Two memorable goals though from our team. One good free kick from Sassan, NL, and a lob from three fours of the pitch by John, US. I captured the free kick on photo and the very long distance shot on film!
Copies will be distributed to anyone interested.
